Bright Start: A Pediatric Therapy & Learning Center

What made you want to be part of the Faces & Places publication?

Bright Start is a small, community-rooted company with a big heart. We’re proud of the dedicated, passionate team we’ve built—and even prouder of the families we serve every day. Being part of Faces & Places allows us to share our story, celebrate our team, and reach even more families who may be looking for the kind of support and connection we offer. We see this as a chance to grow our impact and let families know that we’re here for them.

How does your business serve or connect with the local community?

Bright Start couldn’t flourish without our families—they are the heart of everything we do. That’s why we work hard to build genuine, 1:1 relationships through coaching, counseling, and education. We go beyond therapy sessions, giving families the tools they need to carry over skills at home and see real, lasting progress.

We proudly operate within the Louisiana Early Steps program, which helps us reach families across a wide range of demographics throughout Greater New Orleans, the Westbank, and Lafayette. We also collaborate with local daycares and schools to meet families where they are—offering discounted speech and hearing screenings, and free screenings for families who continue their journey with us.

As a teaching practice, we welcome student clinicians from LSU Health Sciences Center, helping to train the next generation of therapists while staying closely connected to the community we serve. We also participate in wellness fairs, offer sliding-scale services, and remain committed to being accessible, inclusive, and community-driven.

What do you hope people take away when they see your feature in the magazine?

We hope they see that we’re more than just a therapy practice—we’re a trusted partner in early childhood development. We want families to know that expert care can also feel personal, accessible, and full of heart. Whether in a home, daycare, or clinic, Bright Start is here to walk alongside you and your child—without the waitlists, without the pressure, and always with compassion.

What has being featured in Faces & Places meant for you or your business?

It’s a meaningful milestone. Bright Start began as a very personal vision during my first maternity leave, and it’s grown into something much bigger—thanks to our incredible team and the families who trust us. Being featured in Faces & Places is a moment to pause, reflect, and be grateful for how far we’ve come. It’s also a chance to spotlight the local impact we’re making, one child and one family at a time.

What advice would you give to other local businesses thinking about getting involved in something like this?

Tell your story. Features like this give people a real glimpse into the heart behind your brand—and that connection matters. Whether you're just starting or growing steadily, sharing your mission helps build trust, community, and momentum. It’s not just marketing—it’s relationship-building.
