Lemonade Day 2024: A Sweet Community Initiative to Empower Youth
Join us in supporting Lemonade Day 2024, an inspiring initiative aimed at teaching young people the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, community involvement, and philanthropy. Watch the video below to learn about how your business can participate in this heartwarming opportunity and make a positive impact in the Baton Rouge community.
About Lemonade Day 2024:
Lemonade Day is more than just selling lemonade; it’s about empowering young entrepreneurs with the tools and skills they need to succeed in life. This year, Family Resource Group is proud to launch our very first Lemonade Day initiative, inspired by the remarkable story of Leroy’s LipSmack’n Lemonade.
Leroy’s Story:
Leroy is a young entrepreneur in our community who started his lemonade stand at the age of five. Despite being autistic and often nonverbal, Leroy found his voice and confidence through his lemonade business. His story is not only inspiring but also highlights the importance of community support in nurturing young talent. Leroy’s lemonade can now be found in many local grocery stores, thanks to the hard work and dedication of his family.

How Your Business Can Get Involved:
We’re inviting local businesses to sponsor lemonade stands as part of this initiative. Whether it’s your CEO, employees, or their children, everyone is encouraged to host a lemonade stand and contribute to this great cause. The process is simple:
- Host a lemonade stand anytime between now and September 10th.
- Send us photos and share how much money you raised.
- Choose a nonprofit organization to donate your proceeds to.
Our Contest:
To add a little fun, our Senior Account Executives, Crystal Barrett and Ryn Whiteside, have created a friendly competition. They’ve each chosen a nonprofit organization, and Family Resource Group will donate a percentage of the proceeds to the nonprofit of the winning team’s choice. Crystal has chosen the Down Syndrome Awareness Group of Baton Rouge, while Ryn supports the Capital Area Autism Network.
Get Involved:
Your business will be featured in the special October issue of our magazine, “Exceptional Lives,” where we will showcase your lemonade stand and highlight the organization you supported. This is a fantastic way to give back and make a difference in our community.
